Hello, if you are new here, my name is Elena Harris and I am the owner, coach, and organizer here at Elena's Declutter. And I'm pregnant with my first. It's a girl!

Pregnancy brings a unique blend of excitement and challenges, especially when balancing professional responsibilities. As I prepare to welcome this new chapter (as well as a whole new person!), I want to share how I am managing the transition and what you can expect before, during, and after my maternity leave. This post offers a transparent look at what to expect and ways you can stay connected with Elena’s Declutter during this period.

Preparing for Maternity Leave

I decided a few months ago that my maternity leave will start on June 1st (about a month before my due date in early July) and last until sometime this fall (probably September or October, but I have not committed to a specific timeframe). This means Elena’s Declutter will pause all in-person services during this time. I have not set a date for when I plan to return to work, I'll see how I'm feeling, how baby is doing, and what child care I have available.

Working During Maternity Leave

While in-person work will pause, I plan to work a bit from home until the baby is born in late June or early July. And then again as I have time in late August and through September. I hope to send a few emails (subscribe here), post some new blogs, post a bit more on social media (Instagram & Facebook), and hopefully start selling my brand new workbook!

However, since the baby is due in early July, I will not be very responsive to messages or actively working from home from late June through August. If you contact me during that time, please don't expect a response until September, although I may get back to you before then.

Depending on how things go, I may offer limited virtual or phone sessions for those who need guidance but cannot wait until fall. Email me at elena@elenasdeclutter.com to inquire!

Returning to Work After Maternity Leave

I intend to start with a lighter schedule to accommodate new family routines and gradually increase availability. I anticipate this will be in late September or early October but I am not sure exactly when. It could be as late as November. Previous ongoing clients will get first priority, then those on the waitlist, then those who have emailed me, and then new inquiries.

Based on new insights and goals, I may introduce updated packages, new subscription plans, or increased pricing. If you've worked with me before, I cannot guarantee the same rate or plan you had before. Thank you in advance for your understanding and flexibility.

What This Means for You

During my maternity leave from June 1st through September or October (or maybe November), in-person decluttering services will be on hold. If you want to get on the waitlist for fall, please click HERE.

If you have questions or are interested in virtual coaching, feel free to reach out anytime via email to elena@elenasdeclutter.com or by texting my work number 509-204-1721, Just note, that as the baby is due in early July, I will not be very responsive from late June though August.
