There is something incredibly powerful about doing random acts of kindness... for your social life, your community, your loved ones, your mental health, your peace, your sense of purpose, and for the happiness of everyone around you, but especially yours.
I have also been finding there is an interesting correlation between kindness and clutter. The more I've decluttered, the more energy I find I have to give. The more I give, the less I care about my clutter.
The more I've decluttered, the more energy I find I have to give.
It's a paradox. It would seem like the more we have, the more we should be able to contribute. But the truth is the more we have, the more we HAVE to do, so we have less time and energy for being kind and giving back.
The more I give, the less I care about my clutter.
By giving our time, money, and possessions to others, the less value all the excess in our lives seems to hold.
So... are you struggling to declutter? Be kind.
Not so sure? Try it out.
Today, December 1st, 2022 as I am writing this, a friend and I are starting a kindness challenge for the next 30 days. You are invited you to join. No matter when you are reading this, commit to doing one kind thing for someone else (or even for yourself) for the next 30 days.
Let me know in the comments below or connect with me on Instagram and let me know you're doing the challenge and how it's going for you.
